Personal Letter

Hi there family!!! My name is Jorge and I would like to be your guest in the U.S.A

   
    I am fifteen years old and I live in Lugo, a small town  in the north-west of Spain. This place is well known because of its Roman Walls and its fantastic gastronomy and traditions. I live in a flat near the city center with my family: my parents and my dog.

    I consider that I am a very cheerful kid, a little bit crazy, really sociable and talkative, quite stubborn, open-minded, responsible, hard-worker, creative, imaginative and with Hakuna Matata philosophy. I like so much listening to people (although it is sometimes difficult to me)because i think they have a lot of interesting things to teach us, and all the knowledge is nice.

    Regarding my family, my mother Begoña worked as a nurse in a retreat center, but now she is retired because of her illness. My father has an enterprise which produces steel furniture for hostelry. And I can’t forget my dog Aris, who cares me and with whom I share the most of my time. Moreover I see my relatifs near once a week, and we usually meet to have meals together.

    With reference to my daily routine, on week days I get up at 8 o'clock then, I have breakfast (hot chocolate with cookies) and I go to highschool at 9. I have 5 hours and a half of  interesting classes until 2:30 pm, when I return home and have lunch. In the afternoon, I usually go to academies or practise sports, but there are two things which can’t be forgotten: play video-games  and play with my dog . I have dinner at 10pm and I normally go to bed at about 11:30 pm. On weekends, the first thing I do is my homework to have the rest of the weekend free. During these days I go to eat with my relatives and I do different activities proposed by my parents, like play basketball, go to the beach or visit near villages.

    My highschool is called IES Xoan Montes. It is about 10 minutes walking and 15 by car. I guess you must be wondering how this is possible. It is because cars must circulate very slow, so this is the reason why I go walking. There are 300 students and 32 teachers, which are distributed in a triangle building consisting of 3 floors and a playground. I am studying in a science group and my favorite subjects are Technology and Maths, because in the future I would really like to be a computer engineer or a video-game designer.

    Depending on the season, I do an activity or another on holidays. In summer, I always go to my grandmother’s house in the coast, about 100 km away from Lugo, where I spend all my holidays with my family. There I play basketball with my cousins everyday and after that, I go to the beach or to the swimming-pool with my grandmother. I like snorkel very much, I practise it with my father. I also ride a bike with my uncle about 60 km a week and I walk with my mother and my dog. Besides, I go fishing with my grandfather, mainly to spend time with him (since I don’t like fishing very much). On Christmas, I meet my friends to play with snow and to spend time together. We play a game known as “invisible friend” which consists in giving a present to a random mate. During these days, I look for the best gift for my friend, and we set a date to receive them all. I eat with my family in Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve too. Sometimes I even go skiing. Easter is my relaxing time. I return to the coast house but I don’t go to the beach because of the bad weather, so I try to relax.

     I am a very healthy teeanger since I eat whatever is on my dish, and my mother always says that I am addicted to snack between meals. The only thing I can’t have is lactose in milk (but I can have other milky products). Besides I often do sports like soccer, kung fu, PlayStation… And also basketball until last year.

    As a student as I am, I don’t have much free time. When I have it, I love doing the following activities: Meeting my friends at the city center to have a drink; going to basketball courts, to play with whoever there are; learning how to play well the guitar; spending a lot of time with my dog; playing computer games; listening to music; riding my bike and staying with my family. But what i love the most is traveling around the world, because I believe that it is the greatest way of knowing cultures, special people, visit interesting places and taste amazing meals. On top of that, It can provide a different point of view about the world, because you feel in yourself  other kind of lifestyles.

    Finally, I want to thank you the time you have spent reading this letter-biography-presentation… I would like to have an explendid year with you, which I am sure it will be unbelievable. I am thankful in advance because of caring me.
